We are currently set up to receive email and text when a signal goes into flash and comes out of flash. One of the problems we have with that is sometimes a signal will go in and out of flash multiple times. Every time that happens we receive a notification. recently 2 of our signals had similar but slightly different problems. Signals 1 had a BIU issue that made the controller think the signal was going in and out of flash every 1 to 6 seconds even though the signal was not actually flashing. Which resulted in 461 notifications, which filled up our email and crippled our phones with text messages. The second signal had the same problem but did eventually go into flash resulting in a 124 notifications. Is it possible to add an option to the alert setup that says if centracs receives the same alert from a signal more than 3 times in X amount of time (ex- 1 hour), then centracs will not send out additional notifications for that specific alert/time period/Signal.
