We would like to suggest the development of expanded API access to enable real-time and historical traffic signal data retrieval, including:

Signal phase and timing (SPaT) data

Detector status and volume counts

Signal plan schedules and overrides

Communication status and health diagnostics

This would greatly benefit third-party integrations for smart city platforms, traffic management dashboards, and data analytics applications. Having secure, well-documented API endpoints with OAuth2 or token-based access would allow cities and integrators to build more responsive and intelligent traffic systems.

Please consider adding this feature to future updates. We believe this would empower many organizations relying on Econolite infrastructure to deliver innovative traffic solutions.
