Allow user to assert Veh Max recall via Centracs
Currently Centracs users can assert Vmin and Ped calls to signal.
It would be useful to add the ability to assert a Vmax call also.20 votesThis is a good idea but development lacks sufficient resources to implement this in a reasonable time frame.

Acknowleged Alerts better managed
After an alert has been "Acknowledged," do not allow Centracs to keep populating alerts associated with that acknowledged alert.

add the ability to attach and edit Excel documents and save/update existing excel documents
When we try to attach an excel document and then change that saved document or update it, the document is not saved properly. for some reason the original saved document calls its self a temp~file and is saved in another location.

The original idea behind attaching documents to an intersection was to allow users the ability to upload a static document for reference. Altering the document and saving through Centracs was never the objective.

Left/Right/Up/Down moves map editor icons one pixel at a time.

Special functions in the graphics
We use blank-out signs (i.e., no left/right turn, no turn on red, etc.) that are turned on or off by special functions by time-of-day. We also use them for lane assignments that change by time-of-day (i.e., left-only or thru+left). Currently in the graphics, there is a symbol (it looks like the "on/off" symbol) that you can use to show that a certain special function is on, but I would like to be able to customize the look of the symbol, for example, to look like a "no left turn" sign in the graphics when the associated special function that corresponds…

Allow the Centracs Assert Call to be a max call
Add function to allow the Centracs Assert Call to be a max call that would allow user to extend phase out to the max.

Would like to be able to add entities to intersections including cameras and URLs
It would be nice to add entities to intersections such as cameras and ULR links that would be to equipment such as switches and battery backups. That way when you look at an intersection in the entity tree you can see all of its equipment under it. Currently we just make a group and a list of all of the cameras or URLs.

"Detector State" Polling
Allow Centracs to bring back "Detector State" information rather than "Detector Phase State". This would allow for better troubleshooting in that the specific loop can be monitored rather than the current scenario of loops showing a phase state.

provide the ability to copy timing plans from Centracs to Aries & vice versa
add a feature so that you can copy timing plans from Centracs to Aries in case you want to download directly to a controller.

Add an "exclude" feature in the Scheduler.
Currently, you can't exclude individual signals that are grouped into larger regional entities. The only way to exclude an individual signal from a scheduled event is to add each intersection as an individual entity and omit the few you don't want to add, which would be very time consuming.

Be able to edit the Warning Check Categories from the signal editor
The Signal editor does not have a way to edit the Warning Check Categories. You have to do it at the controller or the Front Panel function.

Look into Why you are not using NTCIP
I need to be able to add different controllers to your system
6 votesEconolite Centracs currently supports communicating with supported controllers through the NTCIP protocol. To add unsupported controllers would require a level of custom work that would be outside the scope of a UserVoice idea.
Please discuss this with product management if custom development is a route you would like to take.

Monitor and create events (bad comm. etc.) for CCTV cameras.
Monitor CCTV cameras and create events (bad comm. etc.) for them. Currently, there is no notification (that I'm aware of) if a camera stops working properly.

Please discuss this with product management if custom development is a route you would like to take.

Be able to schedule when triggers are active
Users would like the ability schedule when a trigger happens if at all when the BlueToad Link Threshold Increase/Decrease event occurs.

show what day plan number, scedule number, and timing plan that is runing for that time of the day from the signal status box.
I have many different signals that run different timing plans, day plans, and schedules, through out the day and year. it would be nice to be able to see that it is running the correct way in the status box. right now there is no way of telling what is actually running. just what is suppose to be running.

Make it so a user can define a map layer that automatically updates from external sources
It would be good to be able to have a map layer that periodically self updates. For example, a weather service map or a google, bing or Ways map that shows current incidents and traffic conditions. The ability to replay animation loops would be a nice enhancement to this.

There also may be limitations by the service provider so consideration would need to be made there. Overall, this idea is definitely something we could address however it would not be something we could include in a general release.

Make trigger activated actions operable by time of day.
Triggered user alerts can be limited to certain times of day/day of week using the on-call scheduler. It would be helpful to have the same functionality for non-alert actions that are allowed to occur via triggers.
For example, you may only want to set a pattern or turn on a DMS via a trigger at certain times of day. Currently there's no way to do that.

Provide for Manual Command to give commands to Groups (or Zones) not just individual (or lists of) Signals
Currently, when a corridor's operation must be changed to a different pattern for some operational need (e.g. incident management), each Signal must be pulled into Manual Command. A more effective option would be to use an established Zone or Group within Manual Command, i.e. one Entity to define several intersections.

Allow the signal database editor to change the startup screen in an ASC/3 (MM 8-5).
Many of our customers change the start up screen to reflect the intersection location. To make the changes on the ASC/3 keypad is time consuming. The changes could be made much quicker using the PC keyboard and Centracs, then downloading the database to the ASC/3.
